Then we went for a walk

A few weeks ago, we went to Djembering to pray and to encourage the Christians there.  Our friend Offie Bolie, a pastor in Ziguinchor, has been overseeing the church in Djembering, the village where he grew up. He put Edward in charge of leading the church there while Albert has been studying at a Bible College in the Ivory Coast.  Albert, his wife Irma and his two boys have been away for 2 years.  He is back now to do an internship for his studies at the church in Djembering.  Then he will go back to the Ivory Coast to finish his last year of studies.  Albert has vision to be the pastor of the church in Djembering when he's finished with his training. In the meanwhile, Edward's doing a great job with raising up disciples within the church and reaching out to messed up guys who live in the village. Some of them are alcoholics whom "respectible" people in the village don't want to associate with but Edward loves them like Jesus does and has hope for their futures.  Edward's cool that way.
